Firefighters battled a significant two-alarm fire at a multi-family home in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood Monday morning, August 31, 2026, after crews arrived to find heavy flames coming from the two-and-a-half-story wood-frame building.
The fire broke out at approximately 9:40 a.m. at 259 North Beacon Street, according to the Boston Fire Department. Brighton fire companies were among the first crews to arrive, and a second alarm was struck almost immediately as firefighters confronted heavy fire throughout the structure.
